Painterly cerise in color, a stately Pinot Noir that presents with both assertive and refined brushstrokes. Aromas of black cherry, violets, and white pepper lead to a firmly structured, yet velvety palate yielding dark fruits, cola, and subtle notes of almond oil. A memorable finish reaffirms your first impressions that this is just a lovely wine. Hobbs aged this Pinot for 15 months in French oak barrels, 67 % of which was new. The Ulises Valdez vineyards were once an apple orchard and wines from this temperate patch of brown sandy loan are intense and bold.
