Paul Autard Châteauneuf-du-Pape Cuvée La Côte Ronde(2003)

Source: Zachy's
"Beautifully pure blackberry and raspberry fruit is woven with toast, grilled herb and tar flavors, all buttressed with a firm, tannic spine. Concentrated, long, chewy finish opens in the glass to show an elegant side as well. Drink now through 2020...94." WS 7/05

($50) Deep red. Spicy and energetic on the nose, with vibrant blackberry, cherry and sweet floral aromas. This displays more energy and vivacity than the 2004 version today. Sweet, velvety and round, with lush dark berry, mocha and coffee flavors that build and expand through the finish. A serious wine that should age extremely well.
