What to Expect

Chardonnay is America's most popular grape and with good reason. Made in styles that range from steely, mineral laced wines with crisp green apple fruit to wines that are buttery, rich, and laden with tropical fruits, there is a Chardonnay that will appeal to every palate. Chardonnay is most closely associated with France's Burgundy region and California's Northern valleys though it has proven successful around the globe.

Winemakers Notes

Why? Durell vineyards = one of the most prized Sonoma vineyards originally made famous by Kistler Chardonnay. Tastes? An uncommonly dense and rich Sonoma Chardonnay that packs in lots of flavors yet manages to remain elegant and refined. It offers extravagant layers of sumptuous apricot, ripe pear, and baked apple pie shaded by exotic spices and pretty oak shadings. An underlying balance will hold this new wine together to age gracefully over the next 3 - 5 years! Wow, this delicious new wine makes me thirsty just writing about it!!!
