Developing rapidly in barrel at this time - the Woolsey Road Vineyard Chardonnay is showing much of the character it will contain upon release this fall. It is typically one of the most forward of the Chardonnay wines, and has great pear, mango aromas along with nice freshening acidity. It is a big, rich wine with plenty of life ahead of it. Production for 2000 is about the same as in 1999. This vintage includes grapes from Hyde Vineyard and Caldwell Vineyard that have been the longtime core of this blend as well as from Atlas Peak Vineyard and Carr Vineyard fruit.
