Patz & Hall Pinot Noir Chenoweth Ranch 2013
Bright aromatics feature spiced black cherry fruit with a little boysenberry and mineral accent note and nicely integrated wood. This offers up a gorgeous blend of richness and freshness with a silky mouthfeel and earth and coffee accents notes. It just comes up a little short on the finish which does show a bit of alcoholic warmth. 92ptsAdd winemaker's notes

Lots of fruit on entry—black cherry and, maybe, black raspberry or blueberry hiding underneath—with some serious fruity “sweetness.” Some spiciness mid- to rear palate—black pepper. Some alcoholic heat, again, towards the back of the palate. Alcohol may be adding to the sweetness.

External Reviews for Patz & Hall Pinot Noir Chenoweth Ranch
Patz and Hall Chenoweth Pinot Noir is sourced from the namesake vineyard of renowned vineyard manager Charlie Chenoweth located in one of the coolest parts of the Russian River Valley.
IWC 91pts - Winemaker Notes - This rich and powerful wine reflects the warmer nature of the vintage, with a more ripe and extracted expression of Chenoweth s signature strawberry and cherry flavors and aromas. These red-fruit elements are accentuated by deeper layers of licorice, espresso, molasses and gingerbread that underscore the natural intensity of the wine. An exuberant Pinot Noir that will gain additional depth and complexity with aging.
