Patz & Hall Chardonnay Mendocino County Alder Springs Vineyard 2006

Winemaker's Notes:

This exceptional wine represents the future of Chardonnay from Alder Springs Vineyard. Perhaps our finest Chardonnay bottling from the 2006 vintage, the 2006 Alder Springs - Mendocino Chardonnay offers beautiful density and palate tension with concentrated aromas of spicy cinnamon pastry, honey, peach and pineapple. Beautifully textured with intricate stone-fruit flavors and extraordinary minerality, this is a benchmark wine from an elite mountain vineyard.

"This exceptional wine represents the future of Chardonnay from ALDER SPRINGS VINEYARD. Perhaps our finest Chardonnay bottling from the 2006 vintage

Enticing aromas of cedar and sandalwood lead to a rich, unctuous, concentrated core of Asian pear, hazelnut, fig and a hint of citrus. This broad-shouldered Chardonnay will benefit from short-term cellaring, as the finish is long, intense and layered. Best from 2007 through 2011.

The 2004 Chardonnay Durell Vineyard’s orange blossom-like characteristics are interwoven with plenty of mineral notes as well as a subtle touch of wood. With medium body, good flavor depth and richness, it should drink well for 1–2 years.
