Patz & Hall Chardonnay Dutton Ranch 2010

Winemaker's Notes:

Produced from some of the oldest plantings of Chardonnay in western Sonoma, this wine is a blend of California heritage clones - Robert Young, Rued, Hyde-Wente and UC Davis Clone 4. Mostly dry farmed, the vines struggle to produce small but intensely concentrated berries, making for great depth of flavor and texture.

Suggested Recipe Pairing presented by
Layered Rice Pudding

RiceSelect's fragrant Jasmati® is blended with eggs, milk and fall's favorite spices, cinnamon and nutmeg, to create a delicious rice pudding, which is layered on top of fluffy cream cheese and abuttery pecan crust. Pairs well with a bold, tawny port with flavors of dried fruits, nuts, and spices.

Subdued aromas of green melon and minerals complicated by a leesy suggestion of hazelnut. Fat, tactile and rich, but with firm acidity and underlying minerality leavening the wineandrsquo;s sweetness and energizing the mid-palate. Nicely rich and savory wine.

This fragrant, delicate white offers a mix of citrus, white peach and green apple flavors, which give this a clean, juicy finish. Drink now through 2018. Tasted twice, with consistent notes.
