What to Expect

Chardonnay is America's most popular grape and with good reason. Made in styles that range from steely, mineral laced wines with crisp green apple fruit to wines that are buttery, rich, and laden with tropical fruits, there is a Chardonnay that will appeal to every palate. Chardonnay is most closely associated with France's Burgundy region and California's Northern valleys though it has proven successful around the globe.

Reviews

Rating: 93-94 - As reviewed by Vinfolio in Issue 94 A nose possessed of sweet, viscous, salt tinged mineral taking on the manifestations of the robe of oak that cocoons the finished wine in a garden of toasty creme brulee and lush tropical aromas. The palate of a sample from a new barrel had less texture than a seasoned one-year old. When blended, the combination resulted in a more harmonious sample. Complexity evolves in this wine with some bottle age.
