Issue 94
93-94
July 2007
A nose possessed of sweet, viscous, salt tinged mineral taking on the manifestations of the robe of oak that cocoons the finished wine in a garden of toasty creme brulee and lush tropical aromas. The palate of a sample from a new barrel had less texture than a seasoned one-year old. When blended, the combination resulted in a more harmonious sample. Complexity evolves in this wine with some bottle age.
