What to Expect

Chardonnay is America's most popular grape and with good reason. Made in styles that range from steely, mineral laced wines with crisp green apple fruit to wines that are buttery, rich, and laden with tropical fruits, there is a Chardonnay that will appeal to every palate. Chardonnay is most closely associated with France's Burgundy region and California's Northern valleys though it has proven successful around the globe.

Winemakers Notes

The Alder Springs Vineyard Chardonnay evokes aromas of pear, white flower, and honeycomb coupled with rich oily textures and appealing minerality in the mouth. The 2003 vintage received high praise upon its original release: 94 Points - The Wine Advocate 91 Points - International Wine Cellar 90 Points - Wine Spectator "Full-bodied and intense, with notions of citrus oils, and tropical fruits, along with tremendous purity and crisp acidity, this deep, textured, full throttle, impeccably-balanced Chardonnay can be enjoyed over the next 3-5 years." - Robert Parker
