Loved this Willamette Valley PN, with a beautiful funky, gamey, forest floor-tinged nose. Very correct, conscientious use of oak and a really nice hit of berry acidity that plays along with the red fruit.

Patton Valley lies outside of all of the Willamette Valleyandrsquo;s six new sub-AVAs, not far from Yamhill-Carlton. This estate wine has an ethereal scent of fresh raspberries, grounded by a whiff of tree bark and earth. The flavors remain fresh and exuberant andmdash; as if red cherries would burst from the glass were it not for the earthy savor checking the fruit. It has the structured, savory presence for a veal with truffles.

The medium ruby-colored 2007 Pinot Noir Estate Grown is a forward, easy-going wine with spice box, smoke, and red fruit aromas. On the palate ample savory fruit is buttressed by lively acidity. Drink this pleasant, spicy effort over the next 6 years.

Light in color and texture, with pretty berry and watermelon flavors reminiscent of a good rosandeacute;, lingering well. Drink now.

Pale, vivid red. Fresh strawberry and raspberry aromas are complemented by dusty mineral and floral notes. Tangy red fruit flavors are tightly wound and a bit firm, with good back-end cut. I like this wineandrsquo;s clarity and focus but the vintage has left its mark.
