Patrick Piuze Chablis Terroirs de Chablis 2009
Patrick Piuze carefully choses land throughout Chablis and is obsessed with drawing out the essence of terrior, focusing on obtaining old-vines situated in prime locations. He manages the vineyards himself and only buys grapes (never must or juice). This wine is vibrant and has mineral-driven aromas of chalk, white peach and mint. It is stony and refreshing, with very good cut to the flavours of powdered stone and mint and finishes lively and dry, with classic Chablis minerality.
Off-white yellow hue, restrained aromas of citrus and tart apple; fine flavor notes of tart citrus, apple and mineral with good acidity and complexity over a lengthy and viscous finish. A fine Chardonnay value from a good vintage!
