The powerhouse 2003 Gigondas l'Estale is a blend of 70% Grenache, 15% Mourvedre, and 15% Syrah that achieved 16% natural alcohol. Deep, heady, fat, and chewy, it offers copious quantities of black currant and raspberry fruit along with a hint of minerals, outstanding levels of glycerin, and a long, muscular finish.
