What to Expect

Oregon has only recently emerged as a source for premium wine and is winning fans over to their somewhat earthy style of Pinot Noir. With vineyards a bit cooler than most of California's, yet warmer still than Burgundy, Oregon's Pinot Noirs feature a synthesis of ripe fruit, ripe structure and transparency that draws on the strengths of both. The wines tend to have a touch of earthiness and a sense of transparency that many Pinots from California lack yet the fruit profile, full of dark berries, is decidedly warm-climate in nature.

Reviews

We are so excited to put this wine together we can barely stand it. There are 20 barrels from 5 different fermenters with 4 barrels coming from each fermenter. On fermenter is 1/3rd whole cluster, one is 10% whole cluster and 3 are completely destemmed but from 3 separate blocks in the vineyard. When the wine is blended there will be enormous complexity to go with saturating levels of pure Dundee Hill fruit. This is a 15 year old vineyard and the fruit really shows beautifully in this wine. 30% new wood for a touch of barrel notes but the wine totally sings over the top of the wood. Will be supple and huge read more...
