Patriarche Père et Fils Pinot Noir Savigny-Lès-Beaune Premier Cru 2005
Made from 100% Pinot Noir. Hailing from the warm sunny vineyards of the south of France, this Pinot Noir is benchmark VdP D'oc. Pale ruby in color, this wine has a light cherry aroma, sweet fresh fruit flavor and a soft finish. A supple and elegant wine that pairs well with poultry, cooked ham, or a cold roast beef sandwich.
RiceSelect's creamy Arborio gets blended with sweet potato, coconut milk and vanilla to create this decadent cheesecake. Pairs well with Saunternes; a white dessert wine that has hints of coconut from aging in oak barrels.
We just started receiving bottles from the cellars wine club. This was one of the first bottles. I really like Pinot Noirs. To me they represent a good balance in body and fruit flavors. This wine was light in color and was light and fruity in taste. There were sharp notes at the forefront, but the wine lingered nicely on the finish. We paired this with chicken one night and lightly spiced ribs the second.
