Have always found this a good reliable wine. Not pretentious. Has a good nose of mild oakiness good fruit. Not to be quaffed as plonk but treat with respect. Has a great taste. Found the longer it breathes the better it gets. My last bottle was opened for over 12 hrs and my guests thought it was a classy french claret. Goes well with a mature strong cheese or ideal with red meat dish or a chicken casserole lightly spiced. Only prblem I had was 1 bottle was not enough but then I didn't want my guest to stay all night.
