This was purchased from Trader Joe's in STL for about $19.99. I figured I would give it a chance. It is a little light for an Amarone. At only 65% corvina, that might have something to do with its lack of body. A good dry red, with nice soft tannins and dried dark fruit flavors. However, you can find much better wines in this price range. Opt for a nice Valpolicella Ripasso rather than this Amarone.

I had this a long time ago... I remember it had a soft body, high acidity, tones of red fruits... quite a fresh wine. Excelent with carpaccio de salmon and glazed apples and pears with a few drops of sesame.
