These is fairly interesting on the nose, light aromas but nice notes of apple seeds, saline mineral and a hint of milk. Large scaled, a bit creamy and very bright in the mouth. This delivers some nice citrus fruit with hints of green herbs and flecks of salty minerals in a rather big package. A rough and tumble, take no prisoners approach to Verdejo, this does finish with some melon and apple flavors, good length and a hint of refreshing astringency. It can seem a bit heavy. 84pts

Pear and a touch of cactus leaf on the nose with a light, bay leaf sweetness to it. This is nice and bright in the mouth with a real fresh feel and good richness in the mouth. The fruit is gently golden with hints of ripe peach and sweet apple, particularly on the back end as the wine transitions to a nice, crisp finish that is brushed with a lightly stony sheen that really lingers. 88pts

Banana and tropical fruit aromas. It's fresh, fruity and acidic with a bit of tree pollen and rose petals.

Very mild nose, hardly any aroma. The finish was mildy fruity, but quite ordinary.

No nose at all. Agree that it is dry and crisp, but no other flavoors. Might be slightly oxidized. Probably a wine that should be consumed the day after it's bottled.. US$8.99 at Total Wines

Green-tinged gold. Very fresh scents of quince, melon and agave. Juicy and broad in the mouth, with good depth to its pit and orchard fruit flavors. Becomes spicier with air and finishes with strong cut and a lingering citrus pith note. This offers excellent value. Bodegas Volver-s 2010 Paso a Paso Verdejo (from the first Verdejo to be planted in La Mancha), was fermented and aged sur lie in stainless steel. Baking spice, jasmine, peach, and apricot notes inform the nose of this spicy white. Not quite as concentrated and mouth-filling as the better Verdejos from Rueda, it still represents solid value for drinking over the next 1-2 years.

You will not believe the delicate aromas of fresh picked peaches, bright citrus accents and delicious apple and kiwi flavors in this wine.

This Verdejo from La Mancha has more body and fruit than those from Rueda.
