Pascal Marchand Bourgogne Pinot Noir Avalon 2007

Winemaker's Notes:

Pascal Marchand tries to have his wines reflect their terroir, their sense of place. The exception is the Bourgogne rouge he calls: Avalon". As it is assembled from wines throughout the Ct00650020d'Or, including declassified village wines from higher appellations, what he strives for here is a wine that reflects his idea of what Bourgogne Rouge should be. Elegant and lighter in character, this has extremely fine tannins and is made in an approachable style, with very transparent, open fruit.
