User Reviews for Pascal Jolivet Sancerre
Add your reviewPours a bright clear light straw color. Scents of peaches, minerals, wet stone and lemon zest. Starts off with ample amounts of peaches and lemon zest. In the middle, some iron type minerality along with some wet stone. Finishes with more minerality coming through to balance out the intensified citrus. A nice medium bodied Sauvignon Blanc. Plenty of acidty. This is a great drinker on a hot day, which is when I had this. Pascal Jolivet, for me, provides a great everyday wine at an affordable price.
External Reviews for Pascal Jolivet Sancerre
Pale and vibrant in color. The 2011 Pascal Jolivet Sancerre is fresh, clean and screaming with racy acidity. On the palate it is fresh and tightly wound; acidity is tempered by very subtle residual sugar; very clean; alive, racy, youthful. Overall, a dry and elegant wine. - Winery
Winemaker's Notes:
The soils and climate of Sancerre are some of the best for producing crisp, vibrant, super-clean Sauvignon Blanc with a strong presence of minerality and racy acidity. Jolivet is one of the highly regarded small producers in this lovely region of the Loire Valley.
