Pascal Jolivet Sancerre 2008
Wine Tasting Notes Pale, whitish straw in color. The nose is very fresh, very clean with notes of lime peel, green herbs, black currant; typical, not aggressive. On the palate it is fresh and tightly wound; acidity is tempered by very subtle residual sugar; very clean; alive, racy, youthful. Overall, a dry and elegant wine, well balanced. The different origin of soils express fully their differences and their similarities. Slow evolution, very typical Sancerre.
Pours a clear pale straw color, very bright and clean. Aromas of flint, citrus and minerals. Starts off with a nice mixture of citrus and flint. The flint becomes more predominant in the middle but there is still nice amounts of citrus. Finishes with some nice minerality and some lemon zest. This medium bodied wine is nice and dry, with lively acidity. Very clean crisp and refreshing.
Straw colored clean dry wine - would not be able to distinguish this from lower priced sauvignon blancs

Plump, with lemon and grapefruit flavors backed by straw, butter and almond hints on the finish. Drink now.
Pale straw. White grapefruit, mint and a steely mineral nuance on the nose. Very dry and firm, with citrus and quince flavors dusted by chalky minerals. Just this side of severe, with brisk acids dominating the long, dry finish. This would be excellent with oysters.

Lively and bright notes of ripe tangerine and Kaffir lime feel sculpted and focused. Itrsquo;s fruity but not fat, the ripeness of the vintage well contained within its tightly wound structure.
