- Ruby-red. Spicy aromas of red berries, violet and nutty oak. Dense, sweet and spicy, with chewy red berry and bitter chocolate flavors and a note of bourbon from the American oak used to age the 65% shiraz component. Solid framing acidity. Finishes strongly oaky, with ripe tannins. (The Grateful Palate, Oxnard, CA)
