Parker Fess Pinot Noir 2007
There is no shortage of strawberry, bing cherry, raspberry and mocha notes on the nose of this excellent example of a Santa Barbara County Pinot Noir. This wine is well balanced with a good, acidic backbone exhibiting flavors of cranberry, pomegranate and mulberry on the palate. Excellent with duck, lamb and anything you would care to barbeque!

Heavy earth on the nose with a good dose of campfire going on. This is almost coconutty with a shading of chocolate covering the cherry fruit. A bit tight and ungiving. Tight on the palate as well, definitely unusually reticent with a fine feel, juicy and bright though with the gentle sweetness of ripeness. This is really not showing enough to pass judgment on at this point. Lot of black cherry and spice on the finish, which continues the earth theme brightening with some astringent red berry notes. The finish gains a distinctly minty note. Patience required though the finish bodes well for the future with its fine length and resonant sweet cherry fruit with just a hint of 5-spice. (89-93)

Very nice, affordable pinot!
Had this at Margaux's in Raleigh... it was really a nice wine.
nice mushroom and spice on the nose, great light fruits on the palate. in my opinion a great buy for it's price point.
This wine was not very drinkable. I would not consider it worthy in terms of price either. I didn't taste the slightest hint of oak. It was somewhat earthy & very high in tannins. Fruit feel was overpowered by the distinct clove. Body was too light for my tastes.
