This has a rather assertively woody nose of sapwood and cedar with an underlay of rhubarb and spicy red cranberry fruit. This is surprisingly light in the mouth and quite fresh with clear, transparent raspberry and cranberry fruit framed with lightly spicy wood accents. The wood builds a bit on the back end but remains unobtrusive right through the slightly austere finish. Shows a savory note from the wood and a hint of vanilla. The nose here is much more oaky than the palate and while simple, this is a pleasantly fresh and brisk wine. 85pts

Lightly spiced nose of unripe cherry, earth and a hint of cedar. Dark and rustic flavors - burnt toast, cooked prunes and raspberry compote. Nice.

Creamy strawberries on the nose; a classic pink Starburst aroma. Bouquets of berries twirl around the palate, coming to a quick, taut and quietly tannic finish. This is a great easy-drinking wine that will satisfy any Pinot craving, for certain!

Very fruity and smooth given the price. Strawberry flavors very light! Would definitely drink again

So tonight, for a wine on the lighter side of this horrifically hot and humid evening, I've decided to open a bottle of 2010 Parducci Small Lot Blend Pinot Noir from Mendocino County, Calif. And it's certainly a lighter wine, with a bright ruby color in the glass. The nose is very interesting, with hints of cedar, tart cherry, grass and a tiny bit of pepper. The taste is somewhat fruity at the outset, giving way to a floral taste midpalate and finishing with a good bit of tart fruit that reminds me of firm strawberries that just haven't quite ripened, but then it quickly transitions to a taste of strawberry jam. Honoring the complex nature of the Pinot noir grape, we select individually-vinified small lots of premium varietal Pinot noir grapes to blend a wine of sensual character and nuanced flavors. our Pinot noir offers aromas of juicy, ripe raspberries and strawberries. Its berry flavors are full and rich on the palate, picking up a hint of cedar in the finish. Enjoy this medium bodied red wine with grilled salmon, pork tenderloin, and fine cuts of red meat. - Winery
