External Reviews for Parducci Pinot Noir California
Winemaker Paul Dolan says"We want an environmentally and socially conscious winery making great wines from Mendocino" This stunning Pinot offers aromas of fresh spearmint, dark berries and ripe plums, with a hint of cocoa. Its spicy, minty, ripe-berry flavours are full and rich with chocolate tones in the finish.
Elegant, fresh-fruit flavors enlivened by zesty baking spice. Great partnered with wild mushroom gnocchi and butternut squash, baked ham, grilled salmon, and aromatic cheeses.
Parducci is "Family Farmed," locally owned and operated in California's Mendocino County. Committed to sustainable winegrowing practices that yield top quality grapes and wines while protecting the environment and supporting the community and local farmers. The Parducci family settled in 1912 in Mendocino County an area that resembled their native Tuscany. Even today, the geography and climate of Mendocino County are similar to Northern Italy. The County's hillside vineyards provide plenty of exposure to ripen hearty red grape varieties, while deep river valleys with good drainage support flavor-packed white grapes. Today it’s recognized as a prime region for growing Pinot Noir. And 2009 is one the best vintages in California for that much beloved grape. Ripe cherry, hints of cola, spice and minerals play on the palate.
