Merlot has gotten a bad rap as of late but there is no denying the wine's appeal. Packed with deep, dark berry fruit and nuanced hints of cocoa, herb and earth with a soft structure. Its velvety texture makes Merlot instantly appealing and an obvious alternative to similar, more tannic Bordeaux varieties.

Parducci 2002 Merlot displays an engaging, complex aroma of ripe black cherry fruit mingled with scents of mint, herb tea, tobacco leaf, and toasty oak vanillin. The wine's rich, spicy, black cherry flavors are long and smooth on the palate and complemented by a savory, toasty oak tone, reflecting extended aging in French and American oak barrels. This full-flavored Merlot makes a wonderful accompaniment to roasted and grilled chicken, beef and lamb dishes, and flavorful cheeses.
