Parallel Cabernet Sauvignon Napa Valley 2010
WINE: "This wine is showing lots of youth and vibrancy right now. The nose opens with notes of cherry, cacao, cranberries, pomegranate and subtle hints of Lilac. The attack is soft with explosives flavors of ripe wild berries. The mid pallet is voluptuous and juicy, showing smooth, well integrated tannins and a lengthy finish." -Winery
The Parallel Estate Vineyards: Parallel is located just northeast of Rutherford and southeast of St Helena, above Lake Hennessey and across the lake from Prichard Hill. It occupies a very dramatic 62 acre Vaca mountainside ranch with spectacular ridgeline and valley views. The well drained hillside soils allow us to produce smaller berries and concentrated fruit. With just eight acres planted, we have room to grow.
Very nice! It could use about 8 more years of age, but still was excellent. The nose was strong cedar with pencil shaving, and dark plumb. The pallet was baked plum, prune. Little hint of berry, and oak. Good acid, strong tannins grip at the end.
