Greek for ‘truly in digenous’ — alludes to presence of pinotage in this attractive, carefully assembled red. The ‘local’ grape’s qualities more evident in 01 than maiden 00. Tiny quantities of shiraz, cab f & merlot in both vintages provide evanescent support. Oaked ± yr, new/used barrels. 13.1% alc. 01 fruitily sinuous — more Olympic athlete than in dulged Greek god. 00 also fo cused & honed. 02 barrel sample shows generous proportions & heady, complex bouquet. Potentially exciting.
