Very peppery on the nose, freshly ground black pepper pairs with blackberry, pencil lead and violet aromas. Smooth and medium bodied on entry, this starts out with a nice blend of plum, blackberry and red currant fruit all topped by suggestions of brambly herbs and peppery spice. Soft tannins and juicy acidity makes this easy on the palate, which adds some toasty oak spice on the back end before the finish reveals a core of blackberry and licorice spice flavors. Fun and easy to drink, this lacks some complexity and length today. 87pts
Jammy and warm bed of fruit recall raspberry and cranberry compotes with hints of bay leaf, lemon zest, cinnamon and vanilla. Simple and fun with cinnamon-spiced red fruits that have a light red licorice edge to them. There a nice balance of modest tannin and fresh acidity here, and a nice plum skin note on the back end in this relatively straightforward wine. 87pts

Add your reviewExcellent Zinfandel for this price range. Well constructed with Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot carefully blended in. Fruity aroma that was unexpected. Slight spice at the start that is quickly mellowed by the blended counterparts giving this wines very polished fell with a delightful finish. Good stuff.
This is a really nice zin cab blend. It is a little hot when the bottle is first uncorked but that dissipates as the bottle opens up. This is inky purple with plenty of fruit up front. The flavor profile includes raspberry, vanilla and baking spices. The mouth feel is substantial but not heavy. Overall this is a very solid wine.
