Paraduxx Napa Valley 2007
On the subtle side and somewhat earthy, with modest blackberry, sage and espresso notes. Great structure with smooth, fine tannins, a black pepper mid-palate and long nutmeg and red currant finish.[About 2/3 Zinfandel, 1/4 Cabernet Sauvignon with some Merlot and Cabernet Franc.]*This item has been reduced for this closeout sale and is sold on a first come; first serve basis. Quantities are extremely limited. All sales are final.*
RiceSelect's creamy Arborio gets blended with sweet potato, coconut milk and vanilla to create this decadent cheesecake. Pairs well with Saunternes; a white dessert wine that has hints of coconut from aging in oak barrels.
Aroma of oak barrels in the air from the caves of a fine winery. Very neat, smooth, well balanced providing a full bouquet of flavours. Lush savory finish.
External Reviews for Paraduxx Napa Valley
Duckhorn's most innovative wine, Paraduxx was created as a way to showcase Napa Valley's exceptional grape growing with a blend that is pure California. A crowd-pleaser year after year, this wine from the phenomenal 2007 vintage is a blend of 72% Zinfandel, 185 Cabernet Sauvignon, 9% Merlot and 1% Cabernet Franc. The wine is aged for 15 months in a mix of 60/40 French and American oak barrels, 50% new. It shows ripe fruit and zesty spice- Black cherry, blueberry, white pepper and brown sugar. Connoisseurs Guide scored it 90 points calling it "a satisfying, well-balanced wine". Limited.
As usual, Paraduxx takes its own road and delivers far more than ripe-berry fruit. In this outing, it shows its typical polish and sweet-oak enrichment while keying on a mix of cherries, berries and milk chocolate. It is neither the deepest nor most ... Connoisseurs' Guide. A Proprietary Blend wine from California in USA. 2007 Paraduxx (Duckhorn) 750ml
Emphasizing red fruit, along the lines of the Duckhorn Merlot, the firm's blend of Zinfandel (65 percent), Cabernet (30 percent) and Merlot (5 percent) offers a clean, crisp wine in '98. The tannins are slightly green, as is the aroma. Bring out that red fruit with steak frites.
A Zinfandel blend that's both briary and well-structured, showing black cherry and peppery sage aromas followed by sleek wild berry, mineral and licorice flavors that take on firm tannins. Zinfandel, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Cabernet Franc. Drink now through 2015.
A Proprietary Blend wine from California in USA. 2007 Paraduxx (Duckhorn) 750ml
A blend of Zinfandel and three Bordeaux varieties, this rich, fruity wine is meant to be opened now. It's forward in blackberry, cherry, raspberry, currant and spice flavors, wrapped into finely ground tannins, and is dry. From Duckhorn.
A touch leathery, with chocolate, leather, sage and black currant merging with generous toasty oak. Firms up nicely on the finish. Drink now through 2004.
