The blockbuster 2002 Shiraz is even better than the 2001. Aged for 20 months in mostly old French oak and small French foudres, it is more concentrated than the 2001, with additional creme de cassis and blackberry liqueur characteristics intermixed with smoke, licorice, and fennel. It possesses great fruit, full body, a voluptuous texture, and a 45-second finish.
