After a few minutes of opening the Ambrogio develops & soften. Plenty of fruit with some spice. Violet flavours are persistent & continue on the mid palate. The length is medium. QC (http://www.questionofwine.blogspot.com)

    WA: 92Pts-Rich and ripe fruit with lots of plum, nectarine and rose bush aromas. Full-bodied with velvety tannins. Long and fruity finish.

Stylistically it is a round, relatively soft wine for the year. The Bricco Ambrogio should offer rewarding drinking with just a few more years in bottle. This is the most accessible of Scavino’s single-vineyard 2008 Baroli. Anticipated maturity: 2016-2026....93" WA 4/12
