This is a hard-to-find example of a wonderfully mature Oregon Pinot from one of the top producers. 1999 was a very good year, character-ized by a cool summer followed by a warm, dry early fall. The grapes got a lot of extra hang-time and it shows in the fruit and concentration. The wine is beautifully complex with aromas of blackberries, cherries, jasmine and earth. It shows no signs of getting 'tired' after almost 8 years

- Our Reserve Pinot Noir is a richly layered wine of deep ruby color, with aromatics of dried red and black cherries, cinnamon and allspice. On the palate, blackberries emerge from the rich layers of fruit and spice. Our Reserve is vinified and blended to reflect our goals for the house style: a highly concentrated, structured, complex and ageworthy wine that is nonetheless accessible.

- Its nose is at first floral with distinct notes of sweet jasmine and spice. As the wine opens, layers of black cherry, blackberries, tobacco and oak emerge. The Pinot's palate follows its nose, and in the mouth, the floral fruit and spice is balanced by bright acidity and fine tannins.
