Panarroz Mourvedre Blend Jumilla Panarroz 2006

Member Review by judgelog:

Big juicy Spanish wine. Really nicely balanced, with lots of cherry and a hint of chocolate. Very pleasant and drinkable. Terrific bargain at $10.

Fig and Red Licorice on the nose, ruby red in the glass. Hint of the red fruit at the beginning and then dry, leather and soft tobacco on the back end. Slightly throat numbing with a definate taste of fig on the aftertaste.

Great primarily garnacha wine... begs for a hunk of manchego to accompany it.

great Spanish dry wine. Joven class. Color: rubin. Aroma: fruits with accent of black pepper. Tasted great withpasta and some grilled meat. Robert Parker: 90 points.

Super-ripe style. Way too sweet with pronounced VA on the nose. Great price, but not my kind of wine.

A nice value buy. We actually paid $7.99 for this bottle, not the 9.99 Snooth has as the price. It's a nice Spanish wine with a little more spice and body than a Temparnillo. Let it breathe! I sampled this wine right after the cork was removed and it was a bit overwhelming to say the least. Pour it into a glass and let it sit for at least 10 to 15 minutes. Afterwards, you'll be glad you did. It's worth the wait.

An amazing bargain from Spain, this blend of mourvdre, grenache, and syrah bursts with plum, blackberry, and licorice-infused fruit. There is a bit of pepper as well, and the wine is silky, soft, and opulent. Serve it at a barbecue.

Leather-laced black fruits. Big, spicy, reveals loads of depth, and a rusticity that screams out for barbequed steaks. It's also a great match for stews and roasts. A great little bottle.
