Palmeri Rosso 2010

Winemaker's Notes:

Dichtes Dunkelrot. Intensives Bouquet, erinnert an Rumtopf, Sauerkirschen, getrocknete Früchte, verschiedene Blüten. Wuchtig und enorm füllig am Gaumen, viel süsses Extrakt, weiches, feinkörniges Tannin, saftige Kirschfrucht mit guter Säure, sehr lang anhaltend mit feinen und dezenten Röstnoten im Abgang.

Palmeri wines are created by Kerry and Daisy Damskey with wisdom and passion as an expression of their dedication to what they love. Partnering with such renown grapegrowers as Jan Krupp of Stagecoach Vineyards in Napa and Denny Van Ness of Van Ness Vineyards in Geyserville, Palmeri is ensured the choicest selection of fruit with which to begin Kerry's special alchemy. The name Palmeri comes from Quercus palmeri, a small and scrappy oak that grows in the mountain ranges that Kerry Damskey gravitates to when selecting ultra-premium grape growing land. The labels for Palmeri feature the boar, the bat and the fox, epressenting the diverse fauna that is found on our hillsides. Some even refer the boar as Mr. Palmeri! He, like the wine, seems to have a special charm of his own. Kerry Damskey and Daisy Damskey hail from Sonoma County and have been in the wine business for over 25 years, Kerry as a winemaker and winery consultant and Daisy as a specialist in public relations and event planning.
