- The winemaker for this new friends and family operation is Brian Loring (see above). The oak regimen is 50% new and 50% used French wood over a 10 month élevage period. For further information point your browser to http://www.paliwineco.com or call 310-927-0522 Note: 130 cases produced from Santa Rita Hills fruit bottled at 14.3% A very pretty and very pinot nose of small and intense red berry fruit aromas trimmed in the barest hints of wood read more...spice and dark plum dissolve into delicious, fresh and silky middle weight flavors that culminate in a punchy if slightly edgy finish that displays just a touch of acidity poking through. This may round out with a year or two in bottle and it would probably be almost invisible if paired with the right dishes. A lovely effort that is again, very pinot in overall style. (hide)
