- The winemaker for this new friends and family operation is Brian Loring (see above). The oak regimen is 50% new and 50% used French wood over a 10 month élevage period. The winery price per bottle is $44 and there is an order form on the website. For further information point your browser to http://www.paliwineco.com or call 310-927-0522 Note: 480 cases produced from Sonoma County fruit bottled at 13.6% A leafy and moderately earthy nose of violet and subtly spicy red berry fruit aromas leads to sweet, round and nicely read more...complex middle weight and forward flavors that are easy to like but not simple are wrapped in a slightly disjointed finish as the acidity sticks out slightly. Despite the absence of perfect balance, I suspect the richness will develop over the next two years and the presently pointed acidity will seem much more interesting as it provides relief and precision. - IWC 88 (2/2007): Bright medium red. Racy aromas of minerals and spices. Sweet, seamless flavors of raspberry, strawberry and spice offer good intensity and a distinct juicy quality: very pinot!Finishes with supple tannins that turned a bit dusty with aeration.
