Tight and floral on the nose with a gently leesy undercurrent adding some depth and complexity to the lightly spiced and orange toned core of apple and pear fruit. Silky and round on the palate, this shows a nice base of baked apple and apple pie spices that gain a minerally edge on the back end. The finish is fairly long and shows more freshness of flavor than one finds on the palate along with a bit more sweetness of oak. Nicely done with a certain elegance on this mid-weight frame. 88pts
