Editorial Reviews for Palacios Remondo Grenache Blend Rioja la Vendimia
This smells great; it’s full of fruit over a light dose of toasty oak and framed with notes of earth, vanilla bean, tarragon and lovely floral nuance. A touch soft on entry, this is broad and not too rich, quite well proportioned in fact. The fruit is fresh, and fairly deep if not exhibiting the complexity of the nose. Easy drinking and expressive with more detail on the back end with building herb and floral notes. The finish shows some heat and is a touch short. Well made and easy to understand. 87pts

Not my favorite Rioja but it a very complete and well-balanced wine!
Nice textbook Rioja - well rounded and smoother tannins than most.
Fresh and grapey in a pleasant way. Clean medium body with a moderate, soft finish. Excellent value
Very smooth! Great with chocolate!

La Vendimia ("the harvest") has a warm nose of ripe red berries, leather and roasted coffee. Flavors of herbs and fine tannins underscore the fresh plum and blackberry fruit in this inviting red.
Exotic, reflective strawberry and tea notes open this lighter-bodied, not-so-serious Rioja. Next in line is a mouthfilling blend of blackberry and cassis, but with ample acidity so that it avoids any weighty pitfalls. Finishes soft, with a swath of oaky vanilla flavor. Drink this 50/50 blend of Tempranillo and Garnacha now and over the next 18 months.
James Suckling: 91pts - Winemaker Notes - La Vendimia, which signifies the harvest, represents the quality potential of Spanish jovens, or wines that have been aged for less than six months in oak barrels. Made by the famed Spanish winemaker, Alvaro Palacios (whose father founded the Palacios Remondowinery), La Vendimiais a blend of Spain s two original star varieties, Tempranilloand Garnacha. Lively and bright crimson in color, this wine has soft aromas of rose petals, Mediterranean herbs, fresh orchard fruit, and hints of orange rind. Currants, Bing cherries, fresh nectarines, plums and a hint of wild fennel are expressed on the palate. Meant to drink now through the next four years, this consumer-friendly wine can be served slightly chilled and is the perfect accompaniment to any dish.
