Palacios Petalos Bierzo 2005
A nice Australian 5 grape blend. Has some heft and spice. Dark red. Distinctive wine with berries and plum with spice.
Beautiful cranberry color. Soft and round flavors of red berries, cranberries. Aromas of rose petal, berries, and flowers. Very nice wine. Not as dry as a tavel, but excellent with chicken tikka masala. 60% Grenache, 30% Syrah, 10% Cinsault.
reasonable daily red wine. nothing special but it does the job.
Three and a half glasses

Dark red. Exotic sandalwood-accented strawberry and raspberry aromas, with suggestions of fresh rose and minerals. Elegant red berry flavors offer good depth and precision, a delicate touch and a rather suave, silky texture. Spicy notes echo on the l... Stephen Tanzer. Bright ruby. Seductive dark berry and kirsch aromas show good depth and are brightened by lively floral and mineral notes; theres oak here but its playing a supporting role.
côte Rôtie, meaning "roasted slope," is a sub region in the warm and sunny hillsides of the Northern Rhône wine region of France. One of the aspects of this particular region's wines is they are almost all blended, and some co-fermented with Viognier. The Viognier portion of our côte Rôtie Style Syrah was grown on our neighbor's vineyard on the north side of Highway 46 West.
Deep red. Pungent red and dark berry aromas are complicated by black cardamom, cinnamon, cola and mocha. Fleshy cassis and black raspberry flavors are firmed by dusty tannins and given a serious mien by hints of dried flowers and graphite. Some unabs... Stephen Tanzer's IWC.
