What to Expect

Vermentino, also known as Rolle in France, commonly comes from the island of Sardinia off the coast of Italy, where it produces light white wines redolent of lemon and lime leaves with an almost salty mineral twang.

Winemakers Notes

Grapes - Vermentino di Sardegna DOC 100%.

Vineyards and method of cultivation - Vineyard "Is Crabilis", low espalier.

Age of vineyard - 15 years.

Crop production - 80/90 quintals to the hectare.

Soil Type - Calcium clay rich in texture of medium hill. 150/180 m. above sea level.

Vinification, Refinement - The must obtained from the soft pressing of the grapes and after a first cleaning and the addition of selected yeasts, is left to ferment in stainless steel vats at a constant temperature of 15° C.. The fermentation read more...
