Tasted at the Wine Century annual dinner: Lightly sparkling, fairly soft. Mild sparkler, dry but floral. Soft finish of average length.
Schön perlig und spritzig, wunderbare Citrus-Noten, DOCG zu einem guten Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis.
Notes of apple and peach and a touch of creme brulee. Quite soft in the mouth with a touch of sweetness, but a tartness on the finish gives it a nice little lift.
Light,crisp, dried apricots, celery, strawberry,fig, and minerals, with a juicy finish. Interesting. The back of the label states: (70%) Gamay and (30%) Cab Franc.

An energetic play on the port style, with excellent finishing cut and lift. Established by Susie and Tony Parkinson in 1988, with the purchase of 32 hectares of grazing land on the foothills east of McLaren Vale, Penny’s Hill Vineyard was named after the hill at the base of which it is located. Whilst McLaren Vale is noted for consistent climatic conditions, the slightly higher elevation of Penny’s Hill vineyard reduces temperature extremes in Summer making for a superior site-climate which in turn contributes to even ripening and higher fruit quality. Grapes : 100% Shiraz Region : Australia / McLaren Vale Maker : Ben Riggs Notes : Glass-staining ruby. Elegantly perfumed nose displays pure red berry, cassis, rose and cured tobacco scents. Poggio Le Volpi Estate covers 15 hectares of vineyards situated on the lower slopes of Monte Porzio Catone in the heart of the Frascati Superiore appellation of Lazio in Italy. The winery, that dates back more than 100 years, is today equipped with the most modern technology. Production focuses on quality wines obtained from selected vines, tended with passion and skill by Felice Merge, owner, winemaker and vineyard Manager. Riccardo Cotarella is the consultant oenologist. René Monnier's wines are well known in four star restaurants. Pommard is a village appellation of the Cote de Beaune in France. Its 917 acres of vineyards are situated exclusively around the village of Pommard.
