Food Pairings for Pacific Rim Winemakers Riesling Vin de Glacière
Nose filled with caramel. Medium to heavy mouthfell as one would expect. Coats the palate with caramel and brown sugar but not cloyingly sweet. Would make a nice desert wine that is not to sweet that it would make you sick. Great wine to price ratio.
The wine's aromatics portray an abundance of pear, jasmine and honey. On the palate, the wine is surprisingly light and aromatic but not cloying or syrupy — this has to do with the balanced acidity (1.01%) in the wine. The 8.9% alcohol makes the wine refreshing and quite food friendly. Food Pairing: Fruit tarts and cheesecake are classic pairings, but the wine also pairs well with blue cheeses.
