First released by Randall Grahm of Bonny Doon Vineyard in 1992, Pacific Rim Dry Riesling quickly gained a loyal following among Riesling lovers. Known for its fresh and bright characteristics, the wine was a welcome alternative to over-oaked, one-dimensional white wines. As the American palate evolved in recent years toward wines with greater complexity and crisper acidity, the popularity of Pacific Rim Dry Riesling grew. Demand and enthusiasm for Pacific Rim Dry Riesling continued to gain momentum — and the excitement around the wine inspired a radical idea... the creation a winery exclusively dedicated to Riesling. In August of 2006, a small band of Bonny Doon expats moved to the Northwest from California with a common desire to craft the best Riesling in America... thus, Pacific Rim became its own winery. At Pacific Rim, we are passionate about Riesling (in fact, nearly 90% of Pacific Rim's production is comprised of Riesling wines); we are passionate about crafting world-class Riesling; and we are passionate about extolling the wondrous virtues of Riesling. If you're not presently a Riesling zealot, we're certain that you, too, will soon discover the marvels of our favorite variety...Riesling. Read less

9% alcohol. I drank almost a whole bottle of this and felt nothing. It is very tasty though. I mixed it with some club soda. Great refreshing drink.

I like sweet reisling wine. This is a good sweet reisling. On a scale of 1-10 for sweet this is a 6. Dry it is a 1. It is crisp, fruity and sweet finish that keeps you wanting more.

I have never found a wine I like as much as Pacific Rim Sweet Riesling. It is light, refreshing, and perfect for summer. I like it chilled or room temperature. It's also great mixed 50/50 with orange juice.

Full straw-yellow. Subtle hints of stone fruits and spices on the nose. Thick and rather sweet, but with lovely acid grip framing the juicy peach and ginger flavors. An enticing fruit bomb with a chewy, layered texture.

This wine reaches just 8.5% alcohol, with 7% residual sugar, and plenty of backing acidity. CO2 from fermentation is left in the wine to give it a little soda pop feeling to it. A perfect transition from White Zin for the new wine consumer. Simple, but balanced and pleasurable, with flavors of peach, sugar, Meyer lemon, and orange candy.

Fruity and ripe, with a sweet style thatrsquo;s balanced by fairly aggressive acidity, finishing with enough liveliness to support the pear and floral flavors. Drink now.

Definitely sweet, but balanced with enough acidity to make it feel refreshing, offering pineapple, mango and a touch of honey as the finish lingers. Drink now through 2011.

Sweet and succulent, this is light in texture, offering a juicy mouthful of minty pear and floral flavors that linger on the open finish. Drink now.

A low-alcohol, high-acid, moderately sweet Riesling with far more complexity and elegance that you usually find at this price level. The fruit tastes of orange candy and tangerine, boosted with a little hint of honey.

Pleasant, definitely sweet, but carried by ripe fruit and moderate acids. Some streaks of honey enliven the midpalate and continue on through the clean and sappy finish. Just a hint of diesel suggests some flavors yet to emerge. this is a very solid, well-crafted effort.
