First released by Randall Grahm of Bonny Doon Vineyard in 1992, Pacific Rim Dry Riesling quickly gained a loyal following among Riesling lovers. Known for its fresh and bright characteristics, the wine was a welcome alternative to over-oaked, one-dimensional white wines. As the American palate evolved in recent years toward wines with greater complexity and crisper acidity, the popularity of Pacific Rim Dry Riesling grew. Demand and enthusiasm for Pacific Rim Dry Riesling continued to gain momentum — and the excitement around the wine inspired a radical idea... the creation a winery exclusively dedicated to Riesling. In August of 2006, a small band of Bonny Doon expats moved to the Northwest from California with a common desire to craft the best Riesling in America... thus, Pacific Rim became its own winery. At Pacific Rim, we are passionate about Riesling (in fact, nearly 90% of Pacific Rim's production is comprised of Riesling wines); we are passionate about crafting world-class Riesling; and we are passionate about extolling the wondrous virtues of Riesling. Explore our website and — if you haven't already had the pleasure — try our wines. If you're not presently a Riesling zealot, we're certain that you, too, will soon discover the marvels of our favorite variety...Riesling. Read less

Baked apple, tropical fruits and lime on the nose; clean palate with tangerine, lime and Granny Smith apple notes, good acidity on the finish.

This was a fabulous accompaniment to a white wine-based mushroom soup, but I did not care for it on its own. A la carte, I enjoyed the minerality but found the flavors unbalanced. By the end of the glass, the acidity was overwhelming.

Aromas of apple, mild spice, and a whiff of gym socks. Green apple and light spice on the palate, crisp and really well-balanced with a long finish. Refreshing & not too sweet.

Finally drank this at a grill party with work folks. Can't remember much about it, but just rated it a 2.

Penetrating aromas suggest lemon oil and citrus blossom, with a hint of terpene. This is the driest version of this wine to date, with residual sugar down around 0.5%. Pear skin, pear flesh and citrus carry it through a lengthy finish.

The wine is crisp, dry and lush with flavors of citrus, jasmine and minerals. This Dry Riesling is infinitely versatile and complements the world's most vibrant and flavorful cuisines.

Light and silky, with pretty apple and floral aromas and flavors on a soft-textured frame, lingering gently. Drink now.

winemaker's notes: The wine is crisp dry and lush with flavors of citrus jasmine and minerals. This Dry Riesling is a superb accompaniment to a wide variety of seafood cheeses and cold meats. A blend of 20% German Riesling wine selected by our dear friend Johannes Selbach in the famous Mosel region and 80% of our Washington state Riesling. The German Riesling lends great depth and acidity as well as low alcohol. No oak and no malolactic on this wine - it's as pure and unmanipulated as it gets.
