While there seems to be considerable reluctance on the part of many Riesling producers to pursue sweeter Rieslings, this lovely wine reminds that sugar is no sin when balanced by acidity and married to fruit, and we only wish there were more like it. Simple, straightforward, slightly peachy fruit is the essential and largely singular theme of this medium-sweet wine, and, if clean and balanced by rather obvious, not-quite-integrated acid, it still somehow lacks the crystal-clear focus that is expected of top-drawer Riesling.
