Portraying bright crispness, subtle sweetness and aromas of jasmine, pear and apple, the wine exemplifies the harmony of Riesling. The sweetness plays wonderfully with fiery fare (from Thai to Mexican), while the natural acidity stands up to richer foods (from French to German).

Rating: 88/100 - As reviewed by Connoisseurs' Guide to California Wine (www.cgcw.com) in the September 2010 issue. While there seems to be considerable reluctance on the part of many Riesling producers to pursue sweeter Rieslings, this lovely wine reminds that sugar is no sin when balanced by acidity and married to fruit, and we only wish there were more like it. Long on well-defined peaches and pears with flowery top notes and a hint of honey, it is luscious and sweet but never becomes the least bit cloying, and it is nothing less than a bonafide bargain.Connoisseurs' Guide to California Wine aging recommendation: Drinkable now. Unlikely to improve with further aging.

Rating: 87/100 - As reviewed by Connoisseurs' Guide to California Wine (www.cgcw.com) in the September 2010 issue. Simple, straightforward, slightly peachy fruit is the essential and largely singular theme of this medium-sweet wine, and, if clean and balanced by rather obvious, not-quite-integrated acid, it still somehow lacks the crystal-clear focus that is expected of top-drawer Riesling. That said, it is a likeable wine, and, given its age, it has time on its hands and every likelihood of knitting together and rounding into fitter form.Connoisseurs' Guide to California Wine aging recommendation: Drinkable now. Unlikely to improve with further aging.

Vintage: 2008 11/13/2010

Rating: 84/100 - As reviewed by Connoisseurs' Guide to California Wine (www.cgcw.com) in the September 2010 issue. While slightly sweet, this bottling does a weak job of expressing clear Riesling fruit, and, in its stead, it shows errant elements of earth and something akin to old ginger ale while an annoying streak of chemical heat makes it even harder to like. When it is measured against its considerably cheaper siblings, it comes as a real and disappointing surprise.Connoisseurs' Guide to California Wine aging recommendation: Drinkable now. Unlikely to improve with further aging.
