Nothing too special with this New Zealand merlot. A bit of that barn floor nose, musty on the mid palate with medium body, dark cherry and medium fine tannin. Not a lot of fresh fruit, somewhat on the bland side.

Black spice-laden plum, wisps of wood smoke and espresso roast aromas that segue to an ultra-smooth and mellow mouthful of dark, juicy berry fruit, plum notes and almost sweet, ripe black cherries. It is medium bodied with creamy texture and a balanced fruit-forward aftertaste.
