Oyster Bay Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc 2014
Pale straw green in colour with brilliant clarity, Oyster Bay Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc is zesty and aromatic with lots of lively, penetrating fruit characters. A concentration of tropical and gooseberry flavours with an abundant bouquet, it is a wine that is always crisp, elegant and refreshing.
Internationally-recognised for producing "elegant, assertive wines with glorious fruit flavours", Oyster Bay is also a winemaker with great viticultural vision. It was Oyster Bay that had the foresight, over two decades ago, to recognise the enormous wine-growing potential that lay beneath the stony, alluvial soils of a marginal sheep farming district in New Zealand's Hawkes Bay. Today that region is producing New Zealand's finest merlots.
A bit fruitier than the 13 vintage, still has nice acidity with a pineapple finish.

Clear pale straw, bright aromas of gooseberries, cut grass and minerals, lively on the palate with notes of green tree fruits, green apples and lime, focused and lingering, refreshing acidity and lively...a definitive Kiwi SB that's a great value.
Even as Oyster Bay approaches room temperature in your glass, it keeps its cool. It's a bit minerally, has a lot of fresh citrus flavor, and is nicely crisp, dry and refreshing, while still providing some nice fruit overtones. That was a very nice surprise! Nose is amazingly aromatic, parfumy and fruity. Pale straw with touch of green color. On the palate fresh, crisp acidity, citrus, passion fruit and a little fizz.

We treat each vineyard block and parcel of wine individually. The fruit is crushed, gently pressed and the juice is cold settled. Pungent scents of crushed tomato or nettle leaves enliven this lightweight wine. Itandrsquo;s citrusy and pleasantly leafy on the palate, with a finish that turns slightly chalky.
Good pale color. Aromas of grapefruit pith, oregano and curry powder, plus a slightly sweaty sauvignon note. Juicy but not hard, with fresh acidity framing the rather delicate soft citrus flavors. Needs to be served with food.
Fleshy, with very good concentration to yellow apple, quince and grass flavors wrapped in stony notes and grapefruit-lime acidity. Drink now.
With a nose of quince and cut grass, this stony white fleshes out nicely on the palate with robust grapefruit, green apple, and fresh lime flavors.
