Oyster Bay Chardonnay Marlborough 2007

Member Review by mostly harmless:

Crisp, zesty white with citrus and apples flavours. Smoky backdrop of oak flavours, perhaps overwhelming the freshness of the wine.

Oyster Bay Wines:
Internationally-recognised for producing "elegant, assertive wines with glorious fruit flavours", Oyster Bay is also a winemaker with great viticultural vision. It was Oyster Bay that had the foresight, over two decades ago, to recognise the enormous wine-growing potential that lay beneath the stony, alluvial soils of a marginal sheep farming district in New Zealand's Hawkes Bay. Today that region is producing New Zealand's finest merlots.

Tropical, stonefruit and lively lime citrus flavours, underpinned with a fine, lingering creamy texture. A sublime expression of fruit purity from Marlboroughs unique cool-climate and soils.

An easy-drinking Chardonnay from New Zealand. Clean and fruit driven on the palate with yellow apple fruit aromas.
