Beautiful nose of blackberry, smoke, and earth, smoothly following to the palate. Excellent black fruit flavors, with smoked meat, earth, leather and pepper flavors swimming around the mouth. Lightly tannic, and very well-integrated acidty. Having greatly enjoyed the 2005 and 2006 vintages of this wine, I'm very impressed with the 2004, and quite excited to have another bottle in the cellar! This is outstanding juice!
