Owen Roe Sharecroppers Cab 2009
This exceptional Washington Cabernet achieves delicious freshness from cooling, herbal notes of spearmint that run through the wine, both on the nose and the palate. Cassis, bittersweet chocolate, and distinctive layers of leather and forest floor make this plush, sophisticated bottling yet another reason to absolutely LOVE Washington wines.
Since our first vintage in 1999, Owen Roe winery has been working to produce exceptional, hand crafted wines. We are especially committed to the low vigor hillside vineyards of Yakima Valley Washington. These vineyards yield fruit with low pH and high acidity, both harbingers of age-able wines.

External Reviews for Owen Roe Sharecroppers Cab
The fruit for this Pinot Noir was sourced from several sites in the Northern Willamette Valley, predominately the Eola-Amity Hills and the Yamhill-Carlton District. The warm summer of 2009 yielded fruit ripe with dark cherry cola flavors and an undercurrent of earth and coffee bean. This very balanced Pinot Noir is an excellent value.
Smoky blackberry and dark cherry aromas that leap out, signaling the showiness of this young Cabernet. Packed with juicy black fruit flavors--especially cassis--this is a big mouthful of Cab, with dried herbs and earth on the slightly chewy finish.
